The V11 is the Dyson cordless vacuum you should buy this Prime Day – it's incredible value for money
There's a new flagship in town, so the older V11 is attracting major discounts
If you're in the market for a discounted Dyson vacuum, you have plenty of options to choose from right now. We're into day 2 of the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sale, and there are tons of deals about. Not least because, as well as Amazon, most other major retailers are running rival sales.
I've tested almost the entire Dyson vacuum range, and picked through all the price-drops currently available, and the one I'd recommend buying is the V11. In the US, you can pick up a V11 Origin for $399.99 (was $629.99) at Amazon, and UK shoppers can grab the V11 Extra for £329.99 (was £429) at Very.

This model sits at #2 in my roundup of the best Dyson vacuums you can buy. It nails the basics, offering strong suction, superb maneuverability and good battery life. And because a new flagship has just come out (the underwhelming V16 Piston Animal), it's attracting some especially strong discounts right now – at current prices, it's outstanding value for money.
If you have a bigger budget, there are also strong discounts on the V15 Detect, which boasts more hi-tech features, right now – you'll find details, plus a roundup of alternative Dyson vacuum deals, if you scroll down. Alternatively, hop over to our general Amazon Prime Day hub for more big discounts on a range of tech.

There's a massive $150 off the V11 Origin at Amazon right now. That's a superb discount on this model – it's very rare to see it cheaper. This model is supremely maneuverable, with strong suction and a useful LCD screen. This Origin version comes comes with three detail tools, which together can tackle any cleaning or dusting task.

There's £100 off the V11 Advanced in Very's alternative Prime Day sale, taking it to under £330, which is incredible value for what you're getting here. With smooth maneuvering and plenty of suction power, the V11 nails the basics. The LCD screen, which spells out how long you have left in your current cleaning mode, is very useful. This deal is also available direct from Dyson. Want more tools? The V11 Extra is £339.99 (was £499.99) at Amazon, and comes with a dusting brush and mattress tool on top of what you get with the Advanced version.

There's a third off the V15 at Amazon, which is a very strong discount on this model – it's very rare to see it this cheap. If you have a bigger budget, the V15 is a great choice, offering some useful hi-tech extras compared to the V11. There's dust particle sensing and automatic suction adjustment, plus a dedicated Fluffy cleaner head for hard floors. This version comes with a range of useful tools, but if you especially want a low-reach adaptor, which allows the wand to bend forwards to clean under furniture, you can pick up the V15 Detect Extra for $599.99 (was $849.99) at Best Buy.

The V15s has a massive $200 off right now. That's not quite the cheapest I've ever seen this model, but it's still an excellent discount. This is the V15 – which is one the most advanced, tech-packed and high-performing Dyson vacuums – but with an extra mopping floorhead bundled in to take care of wet cleaning on hard floors. Head to our Dyson V15s Detect Submarine review to find out more. This same discount is also available at Best Buy and direct from Dyson US.

There's $200 off the Ball Animal 3 when you head straight to Dyson. This upright vacuum is heavy and bulky, but boasts an incredible amount of suction power. If you want something that can handle a seriously deep clean, it's an excellent choice.

There's $150 off the V8 right now. That's a big discount but I've seen it go for less on a number of occasions. I'd recommend waiting for Prime Day to kick off properly in case a stronger discount appears. The V8 cordless is the oldest model in the current lineup, but it remains extremely popular, thanks to its simple but effective design, with strong suction and great maneuverability. This version comes with a motorized hair screw tool for cleaning furniture.

This supersized Dyson vacuum has a supersized discount in the brand's own sales event, with a massive $200 off list price. It's not the cheapest we've ever seen this model, but it's still a strong price-drop. The Gen5outsize is based on the Gen5detect – with the same hi-tech features, including advanced particle detection and automatic suction adjustment – but with a bigger dust cup and wider floorhead.

The V8 is the cheapest vacuum in the Dyson cordless vacuum lineup, and with a 30% price drop for Prime Day it's even more affordable right now. This deal has cropped up before, it's very rare for it to be bettered. The V8 is an older model, but it maneuvers smoothly, delivers strong cleaning power and comes with some excellent detail tools, too. I have one at home and it's a great everyday cleaner. If you want more tools, the V8 Absolute comes with an extensive range and is £249 (was £399) at Very.

There's £120 off the V12 Detect Slim if you head to Very right now. This model often gets overlooked in the Dyson lineup, but it's a very strong choice if you have a smaller home. It offers the advanced features of the V15 (including automatic suction adjustment based on dirt levels), but for a more affordable price. The dust cup is very small, though, so not great for bigger homes. Find out more in our Dyson V12 Detect Slim review.

Head to Currys to pick up a V15 with £150 off list price. This is my favorite Dyson vacuum – the suction is superb, and there's automatic suction adjustment based on dirt levels, for an efficient clean that doesn't waste battery. You'll get an extra soft floorhead for hard floors, which is equipped with a laser to illuminate dirt that might otherwise be missed.

At full price, the Dyson Car+Boat is expensive for a handheld vacuum, but with £50 off it's far better value. Bear in mind, too, that this vacuum packs far more power and much longer battery life than every other handheld I've tested (that's because it's just a V8 stick vacuum without the wand...). If your car needs a deep clean, this is a great investment.
