2025 was a bumper year for Disney+ and Hulu with hits like Alien: Earth and Daredevil: Born Again dropping, while favorites such as Andor and The Bear received critically acclaimed new seasons. We may be mere weeks into 2026, but the House of Mouse shows no signs of slowing down, with some major new titles already hitting the streamer.
Continuing to earn its spot among the best streaming services, the platform has added a host of shows that not only have audiences rushing to binge, but also boast great Rotten Tomatoes scores. With so many fantastic new streaming options, it can be hard to know what to press play on first, but that’s where we come in.
Below you can check out our pick of the best Disney+ and Hulu shows to land recently, including the latest expansion of Ryan Murphy’s American Story franchise.
Love Story
Seasons: 1
Episodes: 3 (ongoing)
RT Score: 79%
We’ve had horror (twice), crime and sports, now it's time for love to get a look in as the American Story franchise continues to grow.
Subtitled John R. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette, the show charts the whirlwind romance and tragic deaths of the pair (played by Paul Anthony Kelly and Sarah Pidgeon) who lived their entire marriage under intense media scrutiny. Lavishly recreating the high society New York of the 1990s, the series delves into one of American pop culture's most iconic romances.
While one might expect a show under the umbrella of the American Story franchise to fall firmly into Murphy's usual sensationalist approach, Love Story is surprisingly reserved and tender, while also shining a spotlight directly on the then-crumbling Kennedy empire. Those looking for the camp approach of previous entries may be disappointed, but for the romantics, it’s a must watch.

Wonder Man
Seasons: 1
Episodes: 8
RT Score: 90%
After a storied journey to the screen, Marvel’s latest TV effort arrived to critical acclaim at the end of January.
Closer to The Studio then The Avengers, the limited series follows Simon Williams (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), a struggling actor forced to keep his superpowers a secret thanks to the Doorman Clause, a mandate that bars any superpowered individual from working in Hollywood. Forming a friendship with Ben Kingsley’s recurring MCU character Trevor Slattery, Williams attempts to get the pair roles in an upcoming superhero film.
Don’t expect your usual MCU action-fest here, Wonder Man instead plays as a buddy comedy that delivers a clever satire of the film industry. It’s an easy binge, with eight episodes clocking in at around 30 minutes each. Superhero fatigue is real, but if you’re looking to see the MCU offer something a little different, you’ll have a wonderful time.
The Artful Dodger
Seasons: 2
Episodes: 16
RT Score: 96%
The only returning show on this list, but this clever expansion of Dickens’ cheeky chappie is worth catching up on.
We initially find the titular former pickpocket (Thomas Brodie-Sangster) working as a young doctor in Australia, now going by Jack Dawkins. However when David Thewlis’ Fagin resurfaces, Jack must confront his previous life of crime. Season 2 picks up six months on, with Jack on the run from imposing new lawman (Luke Bracey). Blimey.
Employing the same frenetic approach to the Victorian as Holmes’ Enola and Sherlock, The Artful Dodger is a snappy, hyperactive blast that’s infinitely bingeable. Anchored by a touching love story and bolstered by fantastic performances from Brodie-Sangster, Thewlis and Maia Mitchell as Lady Belle Fox, the show is a worthy, if unexpected follow-up to Dickens’ tome. Consider yourself one of the family and hit play.
