The best Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 plans in Australia (November 2025)
Looking to pick up Samsung's older foldable behemoth? We've found the best plans from Vodafone, Optus or Telstra
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 might no longer hold the mantle as Samsung's best foldable on the market – that goes to the new Galaxy Z Fold 7. However, it's still easily one of the best foldables you can buy, offering an excellent middle ground between the best tablets and the best phones. It's powerful enough to handle work and play, yet small enough to fit in your pocket.
It goes without saying, though, that this kind of versatility doesn't come cheap – even with the arrival of its successor. However, we are starting to see some seriously attractive deals on the Z Fold 6 – most recently down to just AU$1,858 in June.
Luckily, as while we'd normally suggest plans from Vodafone or Optus (which let you pay off pricey devices in instalments), the Z Fold 6 isn't being stocked by any of Australia's three major retailers at the time of writing.
For that reason, if you're looking for a phone with the versatile power and screen size of the Z Fold 6, and want to pay it off over a long term contract, your best bet is the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Below, you can find the best plan options for alternative handsets, as well as the best outright deals on the Fold 6.

Best Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 plan: our pick
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 (256GB) | 60GB data | 24 months | AU$144.95 p/m

Because no major telco is stocking the Fold 6 at the time of writing, we think the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is your best bet – especially considering you'll save AU$500 on the device itself and AU$8 p/m on the plan by going with Vodafone. This plan also provides international texts, but no calls.
Total cost over 24 months is AU$3,478.80Best premium Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6: our pick
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 (256GB) | 200GB data | 24 months | AU$149.95 p/m

While this is certainly a more premium option over the above deal, it's worth it for those who need more data or international calls, as it's only AU$5 more expensive. Offering AU$13 off the plan in conjunction with AU$500 off the phone itself, this is a wonderful deal on Samsung's successor to the Fold 6.
Total cost over 24 months is AU$3,598.80Compare Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 telco plans

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6: key information
The best foldable phones should feel like a true flagship smartphone when it's folded, with a tablet-sized display hiding inside. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 does just that. It's light, thin and easily the best foldable phone Samsung has ever made.
Of course, it's not quite as thin as a regular flagship phone when it's folded. In fact, it's roughly two Samsung Galaxy 24 Ultras or iPhone 15 Pro Maxes stacked on top of each other.
And, while it's a big upgrade over its predecessor, the Fold 6's 7.6-inch AMOLED screen still has a visible crease at its hinge. However, it's only 9g heavier than the S24 Ultra, and the cover screen actually functions like a true handset where the previous iterations were too narrow to use like a regular smartphone.
If you like versatility from your devices, then it doesn't get much better than the Z Fold 6. This foldable phone is a large, powerful and fast 6.3-inch smartphone that's comfortable to grip, with a bright, responsive display.
At the same time, it's an easily portable 7.6-inch tablet that is built for any task – from movies, TV shows and gaming, to comfortable mobile reading, email, doodles and serious multi-tasking productivity.
If you've heard durability concerns around foldable phones, you're right to consider them when compared to a regular handset. The Galaxy Z Fold 6, however, has a screen that's more resilient (and brighter!) than ever.
Of course, compared to screens that don't fold, there's a risk – but I found no durability issues in my time with the handset. Plus, its screen is fantastically vibrant, colourful and responsive both indoors and outdoors.
With a solid One UI platform backed by Android 14 and a deep well of Galaxy AI capabilities, this Galaxy Z Fold 6 is the complete package. If you're looking for a phone that can double as a compact tablet, the only competition on the market is Google's exceptional Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold and it's a toss up for which one the TechRadar team prefer.
