Best Apple Boxing Day deals in Australia 2025
iPhone deals
Not a bad discount for one of Apple's latest phones. While it didn't take off as much as Apple would have liked, this slim handset is quite powerful, although don't expect the camera array from the Pro series, or even the base model iPhone 17. If that doesn't matter to you, AU$302 off is pretty good on the iPhone Air.
We called this machine "a beautiful, intelligent beast" in our 4.5-star iPhone 16 Pro Max review, loving its massive screen, camera control button and fantastic performance. It has been superseded by the 17 Pro Max, but it's still more smartphone than most users will know what to do with.
If you want a big-screen iPhone, the data to match and to avoid paying for power that you don't really need from the iPhone 17 Pro Max, this is the deal for you. Impressively affordable at launch, as stated in our iPhone 16 Plus review, it's an even better pick up. Kogan First members get an extra AU$10 off, but this is an international import.
If you’re looking to upgrade your older iPhone model without spending big on an iPhone 17, the iPhone 16e is an excellent choice, especially with this discount. We think it’s the better option over the discounted iPhone 15. Despite its solo camera, it offers incredible battery life and modern features like Apple Intelligence and the Action button. Also available at The Good Guys for the same price.
Offering double data and discounted prices on its phone plans, you can save even more by pairing your new iPhone 17 or iPhone Air with a Vodafone plan. In the case of the iPhone Air, you can save AU$600 from the outset, and save up to another AU$504 on the plan fees.
There's no initial saving on the 17 Pro, but you can still save up to the same AU$504 on your chosen plan.
Save AU$704 on plan fees when you pair the iPhone 16e with an eligible 36-month contract
Combining a AU$200 discount on the RRP of the iPhone 16e itself with the plan deal above, you can save a whopping AU$704 all up. This is thanks to a Boxing Day that cuts AU$14 p/m off plan fees over 36 months – adding up to AU$504.
The iPhone 16e is the best budget iPhone that you can buy and that's at its regular AU$999 price tag – so snagging it with just over AU$200 knocked off the RRP is one helluva deal. You'll have to pair it with an Optus SIM over 24 or 36 months, but considering you can get 50GB for just AU$40p/m (or 200GB for AU$50p/m) on the first 12 months for Boxing Day, that hardly diminishes this deal.
iPad deals
This iPad mini released in 2024 offers plenty of power thanks to an A17 Pro chip, which also means it supports Apple Intelligence features. This small AU$100 discount on the compact iPad is only on the Blue colour variant in the 256GB storage flavour.
Looking for a laptop replacement? From 4K editing to high-powered gaming, the M3-powered iPad Air can take it on, although this isn't the best price we've seen. We loved its power, display and battery life in our 11-inch iPad Air with M3 review.
Mac deals
It's a small discount, but if you've been waiting to snag Apple's tiny PC, this might be the best it gets. Calling it smaller, faster, better" in our Apple M4 Mac mini review, our tester loved the power and value provided by its tiny build.
In our MacBook Air (M4) review, we said it was "the best ultraportable" with a new price that makes it "even more appealing". Its M4 chip delivers top-notch performance, and it features the same (excellent) design and all-day battery life as the previous model. We don't tend to see much in the way of Apple discounts during this time of year, so this small 10% saving is one to consider.
Again, not a great discount, but if it's power you want in a portable package, don't scoff at this AU$221 discount. The M5 chip adds arguably what is the fastest processing to date on an Apple device, which means this laptop could well be worthwhile even at full price.
Apple Watch deals
AirPod deals
These earbuds offer excellent spatial audio and dynamic head tracking to go with their stellar sound. Incredibly comfortable, they're exactly what any iPhone user is after. However, this current price is AU$19 more expensive than we saw during Black Friday proper.
Want the comfort of the regularly-shaped AirPods, but the noice-cancelling of the more in-ear AirPods Pro model? While its ANC might not be as good, we said it was "remarkably close" to the AirPods Pro 2 in our Apple AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation review. In fact, we think they're "the best open-ear buds for iPhone".
Our tester called them "the perfect headphones for Apple devotees" in our Apple AirPods Max review. More than a year on, nothing has changed. They offer unbelievable audio, a fantastically smooth user experience and great noise cancelling. The deal price here is on the Purple (pictured) colour option only, while the cheaper Midnight variant in the same listing is a refurbished product.
Other Apple deals
A 5% discount isn't usually one we'd sing about, but this is about the best we expect to see on the Apple TV 4K. It's easily the best streaming device on the market. While it's small, it offers HDR10+ and the company’s A15 Bionic chip for snappy menu navigation and game-play in Apple Arcade.
In today’s mile-a-minute world, it can be easy to lose track of the small things – and I mean that literally. Apple’s AirTags are a great way to keep tabs on the whereabouts of your keys, wallet or suitcase. The deal price here beats Amazon's current list price of AU$132.20.
It might be cheaper to grab the older Apple Pencil but the Pro model – compatible with select iPad Pros and iPad Airs – gives you finer control. If you're an artist, this might be the better Pencil to opt for. Gestures add better accessibility to tools you use the most and a hovering over your iPad will let you preview before you even make a mark. And there's Find My support in case you lose it.
LIVE: Latest Updates
Boxing Day Apple deals are here!
It's the day of Christmas, and all across the net, deals on Apple tech are appearing, some of the best yet.
Yes, you read that right, Apple Boxing Day deals are now live in Australia, and we've not even landed on the official date of December 26 just yet. If you've been eyeing up a new iPhone, MacBook or maybe a set of AirPods, this is your last chance to grab them at a discount before we say goodbye to 2025.
I'm making it my mission to seek out the very best Boxing Day deals on Apple tech, so stick with me and my live coverage, as I'll be updating this page regularly up until Boxing Day itself and a few days beyond.
The AirPods discount I've been waiting for
When Apple announced the launch price of the AirPods Pro 3 in Australia was AU$429, I had to baulk. A AU$30 increase over the launch price of the Pro 2s? "Was is Apple thinking?", I wondered.
Well, having now used the third-gen earbuds since launch, I can confirm they're simply superb, but I still don't think anyone should pay full-price for them, unless they're really desperate.
Fortunately, Amazon has slashed AU$50 off their price, making them much more palatable, and at AU$379, it's a price I can more comfortably recommend to wannabe buyers.
The Pro 3s benefit from truly incredible ANC, which silences pretty much everything around you, and their sound is improved over the also-excellent Pro 2s. Plus, they adopt a redesigned housing, which is oh so comfortable to wear for long periods of time.
If you want to experience the best AirPods Apple has made to date, now's a fantastic chance to secure them at a discounted price.

The best Apple Watch offer to end the year
The Apple Watch 11 is probably another Boxing Day deal highlight. It's got its first significant discount since its launch – making it cheaper than Black Friday – and that makes it a fantastic addition to any iPhone user's arsenal.
Importantly, Australia's TGA has approved hypertension notifications now, so it's only a matter of a short time before that's been rolled out for use Down Under.
If you're using a very old Apple Watch and want better metrics or you're keen on a new Apple Watch for the new year to help you achieve your resolution goals, nearly every model in all sizes and band options are discounted on Amazon via the same listing.
• Apple Watch 11: from AU$679 now from AU$547 on Amazon
A must-have Apple gadget for just AU$32.25
Apple AirTags have been popular since the day they were announced and, while it's common to see a small discount available on the single unit, it's typically not a lot.
Apple also offers the AirTag in a pack of four, which represents greater value, especially if you have multiple items you want to track – a couple of sets of keys, a suitcase, a purse, for example.
That's especially true right now as you can get the four-pack of AirTags for AU$129 from Mwave – that brings each Bluetooth tracker down to just AU$32.25 a pop.
So, if you're like me who tends to misplace keys all the time, or you want to track your luggage while you're travelling, or you want to keep tabs on your excitable furry friend, grab the 4-pack AirTags. You will, of course, need to be an Apple user (aka own an iPhone, iPad or MacBook) to use them with the Find My app.
Apple AirTags (4 pack): AU$165 AU$129 at Mwave
Don't spend thousands on an iPhone
The iPhone 16e is the most affordable way to get Apple Intelligence and, honestly, it's a fantastic phone that costs under a grand even at full price. But when given the opportunity to save some cash on it, why wouldn't you?
It's not a huge discount, but you can save AU$102 on the iPhone 16e right now when buying outright from several retailers. You could save even more if you have an older eligible phone to trade in when shopping from some of them.
So, if you want a budget-friendly iPhone, grab the 16e for AU$897.
iPhone 16e: was AU$999 now AU$897 on Amazon
What happened to HomePod discounts?
There's been so much noise about a new HomePod being released, one with a display, but nothing really comes out of it. How long do we have to wait for Apple to catch up with the likes of the Echo Show?
Well, I'm not actually here to whinge about a new HomePod, but to complain about the lack of HomePod discounts. OK, so the HomePod mini isn't all that expensive even at full price, but c'mon! Maybe a 5% price drop? No, let's make that 10%. I honestly cannot remember the last time I saw a 'deal' on a HomePod, even the Gen 2. Oh well, at least there's discounts on the latest Apple Watches!
Not the most fruitful showing
I'll be honest, I was expecting there to be many more deals on Apple tech for Boxing Day. While I certainly agree the deals that are available are excellent – especially the discounts applied to the AirPods Pro 3 and AirTag 4-pack – I would have loved to have some seen some great savings on MacBook laptops.
I'm not giving up on my quest, and will continue to seek out the very best Apple Boxing Day deals to add to this page.
The best audio experience Apple users can get, for less
Our Apple AirPods Max review says they're "the perfect headphones for Apple devotees" and there's the usual small saving (AU$201 off) available for Boxing Day, but only on the purple variant.
If you don't mind the colour, then you'll get the best spatial audio experience on the market when paired with an Apple device, as well as incredible sound, top-tier comfort and brilliant noise-cancelling. There's no doubting these headphones as some of the best wireless headphones.
However, they're hard to recommend over competitors like the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones, who sound just as good and cost a lot less. That's because, while the AirPods Max launched at just AU$899 (which is still more than most competitors), Apple has since hiked their price up to AU$999.
That's why this current deal is so attractive, as we rarely see them drop below AU$800.
AirPods Max: was AU$999 now AU$797.60 at Amazon
Why are the iPhone 17s not discounted?
If you were holding out for a discount on Apple's latest iPhones, you'll need to wait a bit longer as the latest flagships won't see a discount of any kind until we're closer to the iPhone 18 family launching.
That said, the iPhone 16 discounts are disappointing this Boxing Day too, and I would recommend that if it's a new iPhone you're after, you'll likely be better off getting it on a plan from Vodafone or Optus as there are offers to be had. Buying outright at this point would mean you'll pay full price (or very close to it).
This deal isn't all up in the Air
Are thin phones trendy? Well, Apple and Samsung wanted them to be and, honestly, the iPhone Air is a gorgeous handset. Slim phones, however, have limitations because of their thinness, battery life being the first victim, and the camera array is the next.
Despite that, Apple has managed to pack plenty of performance into the iPhone Air, thanks to the A19 Pro chip. Our iPhone Air review calls it the "sexiest phone" the tester has ever used and it's quite sturdy too.
Interested? There's a decent discount going right now, with The Good Guys selling it for AU$2 less than JB Hi-Fi.
Apple iPhone Air: was AU$1,799 now AU$1497 at The Good Guys
"The best Mac ever" is discounted
While we'd been hoping to see bigger savings, it's hard to ignore any discount on what we call "the best Mac ever".
That's right the beloved Apple Mac mini (M4) has a AU$95 saving at MWave. That's cheaper than Black Friday!
Rarely discounted in Australia, this is one of the cheapest prices we've seen since some pretty enticing pre-launch deals. Holding a prime slot in our guide to the best desktop PCs (and the best mini PCs too), this absolute powerhouse of a device already offers immense value at its original price – making this discount all the more appealing.
Earning a very rare (especially when it comes to PCs and laptops!) five stars in our Apple Mac mini (M4, 2024) review, we put things simply – "smaller, faster, better". If you're entrenched in macOS and want to ditch (or use in conjunction with) your laptop for an at-home or in-office PC, the Mac mini is an easy recommendation.
Apple Mac mini M4 (16GB/256GB): was AU$999 now AU$903.700 at MWave
As I predicted, Apple Boxing Day deals are slowly disappearing. The Apple Watch SE 3 and Series 11 discounts disappeared even before Boxing Day came knocking, and that was followed by a price increase on the AirPods Pro 3. It's gone up to AU$404 on Amazon, which is technically still a discount, but it's hard to recommend at over AU$400.
It's the iPhones that are still the most enticing offers, while everything else is no more 10% off, which is normal for many Apple devices.
Which AirPods are right for you?
AirPods are almost synonymous with earbuds these days, so it’s no surprise they're bestsellers during every big sales event. However, the recent arrival of the new AirPods Pro 3 can make choosing a model confusing.
We have a complete guide that answers the question "What are the best AirPods to buy today?", but here's a quick breakdown of the different buds.
AirPods 4: your standard AirPods. This is the cheapest model currently available. They offer fun, dynamic sound, a secure fit without ear tips and excellent spatial audio.
AirPods 4 (ANC): if you'd like to avoid the in-ear tips common with other earbuds and the AirPods Pro, this model provides the same experience as the regular 4's with impressive noise-cancelling.
AirPods Pro 2: while the new Pro 3's have arrived, we think the AirPods Pro 2 are still the best you can buy. Regularly discounted (though harder to find, now), they provide top-tier sound and noise cancellation, with a massive feature list (including Live Translations) and long-lasting battery.
AirPods Pro 3: the newest AirPods on the market boast some handy features over the predecessors like a heart-rate sensor and a new design for a better fit. However, the overall experience is similar – and those new features have brought a price increase with them in Australia. For most people, we think the Pro 2 are still the better choice – if not the AirPods 4 (ANC).
The best streaming device on the market, for less
It's yet another Apple device that's received a less-than exciting discount, but when it comes to the Apple TV 4K, we (happily) take what we can get.
Like the streaming service that now sounds even more similar after dropping the Plus from its Apple TV name, this device is – in my opinion at least – the best of its kind. While the Amazon Fire TV Sticks (and the more premium Fire TV Cube) offer an affordable route to upgrading a TV into a smart TV, their speed, navigation, and overall software experience can't match that of the Apple TV 4K.
The biggest competitor to this device is the Google TV Streamer. And, even at just AU$127 at JB Hi-Fi, we'd recommend Apple.
Obviously, the choice may also come down to how entrenched you are in the Alexa / Google / Apple markets. However, purely on hardware, the Apple TV 4K is more powerful, with a better processor, more storage, AirPods support, and home theatre-specific features.
As smart home devices, we think Apple falls behind the others. In general terms, it's not so much a case of picking a device as picking a platform. However, if you're simply looking for the optimal device to watch the best streaming services on, the Apple TV 4K is the clear choice.
Apple TV 4K (64GB): was AU$219 now AU$208 on Amazon
Apple TV 4K (128GB): was AU$249 now AU$237 on Amazon
