I’ve spent two months testing the Oura Ring 3 and it’s genuinely still one of the best ways to gain insight into your night’s sleep – especially thanks to this price cut

Given that sleep is essential for maintaining our physical and mental wellbeing, you may well want to gain more insight into your rest. If so, I've got good news for you. One of my favorite sleep trackers I've tested is currently on sale: you can buy the Oura Ring 3 Horizon Gold – Size 9 from Best Buy for $381.99 (was $449).
Not only is this a significant saving, but it's almost $120 cheaper than the upgraded Ring 4. That makes it an excellent choice if you're not fussed about the latter's more comfortable build or slightly boosted accuracy.
Hands down its best Presidents' Day sales price though is the fact you can pick up the Oura Ring 3 Heritage Black – Size 11 from Best Buy for $254.99 (was $299) – that's a seriously good saving given it contains all of the same smarts. Alternatively, if black's not your bag, you can also get the Heritage – Size 11 in the same gold finish as the Horizon from Best Buy for $381.99 (was $449).

If getting the best bargain is your priority, the Heritage Black should be your pick. Despite being just as talented as every other Generation 3 ring, calculating everything from sleep stages to stress levels, it's a lot cheaper, coming in at just under $255. Now that's a steal.
Should you fancy something a little more luxe-looking than the Heritage Black, this gold colorway is a great choice. Plus, it comes with all the granular tracking the Gen 3 Ring is known for, like breathing disturbance logging, heart-rate variability and activity readiness scores.
My personal fave of the three styles on offer here, the Horizon Gold exudes sheer sophistication with its uniform contours and gleaming finish. And adding to that luster is the fact it has all the tracking features of the bands above with an equally impressive $67 discount.
As I've always struggled with fatigue, I'm fascinated by the kind of information that sleep trackers can unlock. I recently tested 3 top sleep trackers to see if they could detect my sleep apnea and as a part of that I spent several months with the Oura Ring 3 pretty much glued to my finger, meaning I've got a lot of – excuse the pun – hands-on experience with it.
During all my time living with the device, I've learnt it really does offer some superbly detailed sleep analysis. I definitely concur with our Oura Ring Gen 3 review in which we said it's 'one of the most accurate sleep trackers we’ve tested' – whether you're wanting to monitor your sleep latency, oxygen saturation, or sleep cycles, it offers impressively precise data.
And while it's now been succeeded by the Oura Ring 4, most of the improvements to the latter focus improved comfort and increased accuracy. The Ring 3 is still able to track the same metrics and offers the same feature set, meaning it's still a great choice if you don't quite think you can afford to stump up the $349 or $499 for its equivalent Black or Gold models.
If you fancy something with a screen or just don't see yourself as a ring person, don't worry: our guide to the best sleep trackers offers plenty of alternative ways to supervise your shuteye.
