With Labor Day here, there are some fantastic laptop deals up for grabs across the web. I've searched through all of today's offers and picked out the 17 best deals I recommend if you're shopping for a new device – whether that's a cheap Chromebook for school, a performance powerhouse for all of your productivity needs, or a high-end gaming laptop.

Leading the way is this HP OmniBook X Flip for $499.99 (was $899.99) at Best Buy. That upfront $400 saving is incredible, and even more so when you see the powerful spec, useful versatility and excellent battery life of the machine. It's the bargain of the sales so far.

Chromebooks tend to be the better choice in this price range as they offer better value for money and get stronger performance from relatively cheaper components. Nevertheless, I think this Asus Vivobook 14 is a surprisingly good low-cost Windows laptop. It has a fairly low-end spec with 8GB of RAM and an Intel i3 processor, but that's enough to cover the basics – it's just a shame there's a miserly 128GB of storage. Still, this is a smart buy for general everyday use, word processing, streaming shows, web browsing, video calls, or answering emails.

This HP OmniBook X Flip at Best Buy is one of the best early Labor Day laptop deals I've seen. This powerful and versatile device offers impressive performance for the price, with strong components such as a modern AMD Ryzen AI 5 processor, a massive 16GB of RAM and a healthy 512GB SSD for storage. You can comfortably handle everyday tasks, demanding work, video calls, media streaming and more with this laptop, all with the option to flip it around to a 14-inch touchscreen tablet when the need arises, too.

If display size is important to you, then let me point you towards with Asus Vivobook 16 at Walmart, which sports a 16-inch screen and an older (but still high-end) Intel i7 processor. You also get a generous 16GB of RAM and a good-sized 512GB SSD for storage, making it a powerful device that will handle anything you throw at it, though you do sacrifice portability with the larger chassis. That's likely worth it, though, if you need the extra screen real estate and high-performance components for more advanced workloads and creative tasks.

Here's one of the best deals on a modern, high-end and well-rated laptop in Dell's Labor Day sale. It's a whopping $350 off this machine that features a powerful Intel Core Ultra 7 processor, a healthy 16GB of RAM and a large 1TGB SSD for storage. With all of those components, you'll have no issues with multitasking and handling more demanding work and productivity tasks. And at 14 inches, it's a much more portable device, too. Newer M3 and M4 models are now available, but this is an unbelievable price for the MacBook Air 13-inch with an M2 chip. Sure, it's an older version, but this is still an incredibly powerful laptop if you need a premium powerhouse for school and productivity, coding, or creative work. You also get double the amount of RAM at 16GB, although the 256GB of storage feels a little paltry in 2025. The Dell 16 Plus has only been on the shelves for a few months, but there's already a huge price cut on this powerful spec when you buy directly from the manufacturer. The 16-inch laptop is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 CPU, 16GB RAM, and a 1TB SSD, which is an ideal blend of a generous display size, high-performance hardware, and storage for everyday use, productivity tasks and business needs. Get it for this great value price while you still can.

If you're able to spend an extra $100, you can get the newest MacBook Air powered by the latest M4 chip for a record-low price at Best Buy. It's just a shame Apple still insists on only 256GB of storage as standard, which feels a little miserly in 2025. Nevertheless, this is still one of the best laptops you can buy if you need a performance powerhouse for productivity and creative tasks – especially after this $200 discount.

This is one of the older Dell XPS 13 models, but it's still an impressive and powerful laptop for the price. It comes packed with a relatively modern Intel Ultra 5 processor, a future-proof 16GB of RAM and a reasonable 512GB SSD for storage. Get this if you want to score a good price for a high-end premium device that boasts speed, performance, and responsiveness for coding, multitasking, and creative tasks. We awarded this model four stars out of five with our <a href="https://salesfrenzy.shop/reviews/dell-xps-13-2022">Dell XPS 13 review, while also praising the slick aluminum chassis, vibrant display, lightweight design for easy portability and solid 12-hour battery life.

It may essentially be just a larger version of the 13-inch MacBook Air, but if that's what you want, then that's what you get – and it's now reduced to its lowest-ever price at Best Buy. Our <a href="https://salesfrenzy.shop/computing/macbooks/apple-macbook-air-15-inch-m4-review">MacBook Air 15-inch review praised the display, performance and design, calling it an even better version of what was already the best 15-inch laptop you can buy. The jump in size does hurt one of the MacBook Air's key selling points – its portability – but this is still one impressive laptop.

Best Buy has the last-generation MacBook Pro 14-inch down to a new record-low price right now. It's been replaced by the M4 version, but this older model still boasts a powerful M3 chip, a stunning liquid retina display and an impressive 22 hours of battery life. This MSI Thin is a sturdy budget laptop powered by a 13th Gen Intel Core i5-13420H and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050. Even though it doesn't have the latest hardware, it still delivers reliable performance that works well for an entry-level gaming laptop. It has a 512GB SSD for storing a modest library of games and 16GB RAM for powering through play sessions and multitasking. The full HD display and 144 Hz refresh rate are also a good shout. The full price is a little much at this point, but for less than $550, it's a steal.

Walmart has just listed a huge price cut on this MSI Katana 15 gaming laptop – just in time for Labor Day. At $1,099, this is one of the cheapest machines I've ever seen to carry a higher-end RTX 5070 graphics card, and you also get a superb 14th-gen Core i7 chipset for good measure. While you'll likely want to upgrade to 32GB of RAM to unleash this laptop's full potential, this is a fantastic bang-for-the-buck 1440p gaming machine.

Covering all the bases, the Asus ROG Strix G16 is a great gaming laptop on paper. It has all the hardware you need for playing the latest games, like the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 GPU, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. It also has an advanced cooling system along with a full-surround RGB lightbar, so it’s well-equipped for all your gaming needs. For studying time, you can switch to stealth mode to give you a sleeker look. This is one of the lowest prices we've seen for a device featuring the excellent mid-range GPU.
