The Bose QuietComfort Headphones have been some of the best noise-cancelling headphones for years, particularly for their value for money when on sale. At a record-low price of $199, these offer plenty of perks with a padded headband and earcups, high-fidelity audio with adjustable EQs, strong noise cancellation for everyday users, and more. These weigh less than the QuietComfort Ultra and come with a matching case.

The Bose QuietComfort Ultra are truly one of the best of the best wireless and noise-canceling headphones. They features four modes, including Quiet and Aware for noise cancellation, an Immersive Mode for heightened spatial audio, and a Cinema Mode for watching your favorite movies and shows. By paying more, you get a sturdier build, longer battery life, and better noise cancellation than the standard QuietComfort Headphones. You just have to decide whether or not those premium features are worth $120 extra for you.

Since launch, the QuietComfort Headphones have remained one of our most recommended pairs of wireless headphones. In our Bose QuietComfort Headphones review, we highlight the lightweight body, comfortable fit, effective ANC for the price, and ease of use.

The QuietComfort Headphones feature high-fidelity audio with adjustable EQs, which you can change through the Bose app. You also get two noise cancellation modes: Quiet for when you want minimal noise to leak in, and Aware for when you want to get at least some feedback from your surroundings. It isn't quite as world-class as the QuietComfort Ultra, but it's enough for the everyday user.

Meanwhile, the QuietComfort Ultra boast Bose's patented spatial audio that takes into account environmental factors while listening. These have four modes: the Quiet and Aware noise-cancelling modes that the QuietComfort also has, plus Immersive and Cinema modes for the aforementioned spatial audio and listening to movies and shows on a TV. You get a longer battery life than the QuietComfort with up to 30 hours of playback, or 23 hours when Immersive Mode is turned on.

Our Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones review praises the signature ANC, a comfortable fit similar to the QuietComfort, and "balanced, energetic sound". Together, these features outweighed the cons enough to earn it a full five stars. There's also support for wired lossless audio with a standard headphone jack or USB-C cable, and they even have the Snapdragon Sound Certification for Android.

The QuietComfort Ultra has a few competitors worth noting, including the Sony WH-1000XM6 and Bowers and Wilkins PX8 S2.
